CAT Deeley has dropped a huge hint her husband Patrick Kielty could join her on the This Morning sofa.

The 47-year-old made her official debut this week after she and Ben Shephard were named as replacements for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

Cat has been married to fellow presenter Patrick, 53, since 2012 and it seems she has thought about the idea of bringing him onto This Morning.

During a recent US interview with husband and wife duo Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa, Cat said: “Everybody was saying ‘is he going to do it with you?’ I was like ‘no thank you’.”

But Kelly, 53, insisted: “You should try it!”

Cat asked: “Does it work?”

And Kelly replied: “It’s surprisingly pleasant.”

Mark added that Cat should have Patrick on standby in case Ben, 49, is ever sick.

Cat didn’t shut the idea down, and instead smiled and asked: “Do you think?”

Meanwhile, Cat was forced to apologise this week after making a huge blunder alongside Ben.

While reading out the number for a phone in, Cat dropped a clanger and missed out a zero.

As Ben was quick to correct her, pointing out the number started with 08000 rather than 0800, Cat bizarrely said she had the ChildLine number in her head.

“That’s where I’m getting it from,” she explained.

Cat and Patrick recently moved back to the UK with their two sons after she spent more than a decade in the US hosting So You Think You Can Dance.
