Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Cat, 42, encouraged her followers to go out and vote in the mid-term elections in a picture which saw her holding a flag as she stood next to her friend by the edge of a pool.

As they both pouted for the camera, Cat showed off her flat stomach in a bandeau bikini.

She wrote alongside the shot: “With a little help from @mkik808 …
“Please vote. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 #vote #voterregistration #votesaveamerica #votetoday #votingmatters.”

Cat – who also has son Milo, two, with Patrick – revealed earlier this year that she is “done” having children.

With a house full of boys, the star insisted she isn’t desperate to keep trying for a little girl.

She told Closer magazine: “I think I’m done. I love my boys.

“I can’t believe how lucky I am to have them. I’m good, I think.

“Ask me again in 12 months’ time!”

Cat and Patrick, 47, were friends for years before marrying in a secret ceremony in 2012, and presented Fame Academy together back in 2002.

The star admits she is “very lucky” to have found the love of her life in the Northern Irish comic, and adores raising their two children together in Los Angeles where she has lived since 2006.

The So You Think You Can Dance host said: “We try to sit down together every single day for dinner.

“I think that’s really important.”
